So — have been messing about with this thing for maybe four months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I'd write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I'm in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, just so you know where I'm coming from.

What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I could never get my head round what an ew return actually was when the place terms changed. I'd just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. There's also the multiples — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, and that's where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it lives at each way calculator bet — free, no signup.

One thing that genuinely made a difference was the more serious tools. They've got an implied probability thing which shows you how much the bookie's taking, and there's the kelly staking calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I'm covering two or three runners.

It's not perfect mind. The design is a bit basic — no polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And nothing on the app store, it's a website and that's it — fine by me but you asked.

Right, that's me. Doesn't cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. Anyone who even now works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saved me a fair few "wait, that's it?" moments.
